At the foot of the castle hill, perched on the cliff, the La Pérouse Hotel is one of those hidden gems that people whisper about—for its tranquility and authenticity, and its timeless Nice charm. Located at the far end of the Promenade des Anglais, just before the harbor, this 4-star hotel also features its own restaurant, helmed by Damien Andrews. The chef faithfully recreates the Provençal repertoire, showcasing dishes such as ombrine ravioli in a seafood broth, cod with tangy artichoke barigoule and glasswort, spice-scented lamb shoulder with melt-in-your-mouth cumin-spiced carrots and fresh peas, and a crispy lemon dessert with combawa zest. The service is very friendly.
