Just outside Marseille, in Allauch, Tonin aptly celebrates the flavors of Provence. Thibault Decaroli named his restaurant after his great-grandfather, in homage to his passion for the South and for authentic, aromatic cuisine. Updated every two months, the menu draws from the Provençal repertoire: Mediterranean bourride, chicken supreme with pissaladière stuffed under the skin, locally caught fish, and exceptional meats cooked over charcoal. It is inspired by Jean-Marc Banzo, a leading figure in southern French gastronomy, who guides the kitchen staff with his advice. The pastry chef offers seasonal desserts made entirely in-house. Fresh, locally sourced ingredients are paired with a wine cellar featuring approximately 130 selections that offer excellent value for the price. After enjoying one of the house cocktails, guests can settle into the elegant dining room with its velvet banquettes, green plants, and large mirrors, or onto the terrace overlooking the hills, for a truly Provençal experience.
