Known for its customer service and centralized platform, the French company Toporder is entering the restaurant market.

One device for all your needs. With its NF525-certified point-of-sale system, the French company Toporder by myPOS offers merchants a solution that combines point-of-sale, payment processing, inventory management, and data analytics. No more need to use a separate reservation platform, inventory management software, or payment service subscription… Since September 2026, a version of the platform has been available for restaurant owners.
Meeting Real-World Needs
The story of this Lyon-based brand is the story of Mickael Blanchard. An automotive mechanics student with a passion for computer science, he loves solving problems and… entrepreneurship. In the early 2010s, he launched his phone and computer repair business. He worked with local stores and institutions. His interest in local commerce was already taking shape, as was his ambition. After six years, Mickael Blanchard sold his customer database—he had bigger plans.
While helping out some friends who were bakers and pastry chefs during the holiday season, he discovered that reservations—especially for Yule logs—were still being taken on paper. That’s when the idea for Toporder came to him: to create a platform to organize orders and improve production consistency.
Seven years later, the company has more than 80 employees, and the solution has evolved. “This tool performed a dual function with the cash register, so we decided to create a point-of-sale system that addresses industry-specific challenges rather than just handling payments,” explains Mickael Blanchard.
Since September 2026, approximately 500 restaurant owners have placed their trust in this French brand—including chef Norbert Tarayre—and more than 4,000 businesses use this solution in France, Italy, and the Benelux countries. Among them are Nina Métayer’s Délicatisserie shops.
Personalized and Accessible Support
Based in Écully, the company focuses on personalized support with responsive customer service. In addition to a phone hotline available Monday through Saturday, Toporder creates a WhatsApp group for each client with a dedicated advisor. This space allows one or more people from the company to communicate at any time if they have questions or encounter difficulties.
The goal for the Lyon-based brand: “ To stay close to our customers and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.”
AI-Powered Analytics Tools
In terms of features, “I’ve always believed that point-of-sale operations couldn’t thrive without a robust payment solution,” explains Mickael Blanchard. In 2025, Toporder therefore partnered with myPOS, a European payment services company. In addition to a payment terminal, the software provides several AI-powered analytics tools. Some identify trends: off-peak hours, peak times, best-selling items… Others make suggestions for purchasing raw materials, based on the weather, for example. “ When it’s very hot, customers are less likely to buy chocolate. So orders placed with suppliers are different. This tool turns a hunch into hard data.”
Toporder also offers to create a typical profile of customers who don’t honor their reservations (the “no-shows”).
“Our goal is to support retailers and restaurant owners with new technologies so that local businesses can compete with franchises and big-box retailers. So they’ll still be here in five years and have grown their business! ” Because less time behind the register means more time to plan for the business’s growth and more time spent with customers.
Several options are available, with or without a cash register and cash drawer, for rent or purchase, starting at 39 euros per month. For more information, visit: toporder.fr
