Not far from the stunning Montady Pond, on the banks of the Canal du Midi, this charming Languedoc-style house is home to a restaurant and a bed-and-breakfast. At the helm is Chef Louis Louro, who has worked at Troisgros, Guérard, and the Grand Hôtel de Saint-Jean-de-Luz. Here, he creates inviting regional cuisine that is as pleasing in presentation as it is in flavor. On the menu: a light egg dish, cream of candied bell pepper and chorizo, a cod fillet breaded with cured bacon and served with crispy sweet potato, a roasted pigeon with chanterelle mushrooms, a rack of lamb in a herb crust, a pear tatin, ice cream, and marbled milk chocolate.
