Halfway between Vendôme and Tours, on the village’s main square, Lauraine Raiteux’s restaurant is one of the best options in the area—a contemporary eatery where the chef delivers a compelling take on market-fresh cuisine. For €36, the seasonal menu is perfectly balanced, featuring a starter of gnocchi, mushroom cream, and tartufata; grilled octopus with creamy chili polenta, white wine sauce, and cuttlefish ink; chicken breast with cheese espuma and spelt risotto; or a vanilla and matcha tea millefeuille.
