From the heights of Grenoble, the view of the Corne d’Or is truly breathtaking, offering a unique panorama of the Belledonne mountain range. For more than twenty-five years, the Borrel family has been sharing their love of fine dining, with son Théo in the kitchen, father Gérard as sommelier, and Florence welcoming guests. The chef has developed a distinctive and inspired cuisine, executed with precision: Hungarian blue squash soup, butternut squash, chestnuts, miso, squash seeds, and pimpernel; roasted scallops with confit Jerusalem artichokes, Jerusalem artichoke chips, and a sauce of meadowsweet and wood sorrel; a roasted duck breast with confit duck legs, tuberous parsley, black Camargue rice, parsley condiment, ground ivy, and puffed rice; a poached pear with a cream cheese custard infused with elderflower, streusel, and pear sorbet. A superb selection of natural wines, with Gérard Borrel’s consistently passionate guidance.
