Gourmet Restaurant
Famous for its castle and its “familistère,” the small village of Guise makes for a pleasant stop between Saint-Quentin and Belgium. Just a short walk from the castle, Lucille and Julien Woitrain’s small brick house is incredibly welcoming. The chef serves up well-executed, market-fresh cuisine; you can choose the €37 set menu, featuring lentils in two textures with shellfish, pollock with cockles and glasswort, ribeye prepared carbonade-style, and a selection of pear-based dishes. The restaurant has a small wine cellar with about fifty selections.
