In the magnificent setting of Sainte-Victoire, there’s no need to pretend to be Cézanne when visiting this rather chic inn—housed in a comfortably renovated 19th-century farmhouse—but rather to embrace the spirit of a cheerful epicurean. For the pleasure lies in a richly varied plate, thanks to a €56 lunch menu and an ever-changing à la carte selection that offers the best of both worlds: rabbit pâté en croûte with foie gras and pork, catch of the day with cauliflower mousseline, yuzu-infused whipped butter, and black garlic aioli, almond tartlet with honey-roasted apricots and rosemary, served with apricot sorbet (expect to pay around €70). The service is prompt and attentive, and the regional wine cellar is well-stocked.
