At the only luxury hotel in the Bordeaux region, Les Sources de Caudalie, this “Rouge”—which serves as the hotel’s wine bar—offers a superb selection of Bordeaux wines, including Château Smith Haut Lafitte, of course, but also exceptional wines from all the vineyards: Graves, Saint-Estèphe, Saint-Julien, Pauillac, Pomerol, Saint-Émilion… Not to mention the Loire Valley, Burgundy, and the Southwest. To accompany the wines, a selection of well-prepared light bites: platters of charcuterie and cheese, Christian Parra’s black pudding arancini, grilled prawn and chorizo skewers cooked à la plancha, Joël Dupuch’s oysters, and even an apricot panna cotta infused with verbena. The wine bar also features a delicatessen.
