The woodiness asserts itself from the first warm aromas of pastry, hazelnut cookie and warm apple, with a spicy undertone (turmeric, allspice). Enterprising bubbles give way to a rich, dense body, with a tannic structure that dries out slightly on the finish, while the dosage coats the palate. Clearly a wine to accompany white meat.
